Job Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Enterprise Architect with 12–20 years of experience to provide organization-wide technology leadership, enterprise architecture direction, and strategic technology guidance across Product Engineering, ERP, and Software Services.

The role is responsible for defining and evolving the organization's enterprise technology architecture, technology strategy, architecture standards, technology roadmap, and governance framework — ensuring business objectives are translated into scalable, secure, commercially viable, and future-ready technology solutions.

The Enterprise Architect will work closely with Management, Product, Engineering, ERP, Delivery, Sales, Business Development and Customers to ensure alignment between business strategy, technology capabilities and execution, bringing strong architectural depth, broad technology exposure, strategic thinking, business orientation, and the ability to make pragmatic technology decisions across multiple platforms and business environments.

1. Enterprise Architecture & Technology Direction

  • Define and maintain the organization's enterprise architecture vision, principles, and technology direction.
  • Establish architecture principles and ensure alignment between business strategy and technology strategy.
  • Define enterprise-wide architecture across applications, data, integration, cloud, infrastructure and security.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture models, reference architectures and technology standards.
  • Ensure that Product, ERP and Service solutions align with the organization's overall technology architecture.
  • Review major technology initiatives and provide architectural direction.
  • Identify architectural gaps, technology risks, dependencies and opportunities across the organization.
  • Establish a clear approach for balancing innovation, scalability, security, maintainability, and cost.

2. Technology Strategy & Roadmap

  • Develop and maintain the organization's technology strategy and multi-year technology roadmap.
  • Assess the existing technology landscape and identify areas for modernization and transformation.
  • Define technology priorities based on business growth, customer requirements, and organizational capability.
  • Evaluate technology platforms, frameworks, cloud services and emerging technologies.
  • Recommend technology investments based on business value, scalability, security and commercial viability.
  • Identify future technology capabilities, skills, platforms and roles required to support business growth.
  • Support management in strategic technology decisions and long-term technology planning.

3. Architecture Governance & Standards

  • Establish enterprise-wide architecture standards, principles, patterns, and governance frameworks.
  • Define standards for:
    • Application architecture
    • API and integration architecture
    • Cloud
    • Databases
    • Security
    • DevOps
    • Data management
    • ERP architecture
    • SaaS architecture
  • Establish architecture review mechanisms for major technology initiatives.
  • Review and challenge proposed architectures where required.
  • Ensure architectural decisions are properly documented with assumptions, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Establish reusable reference architectures, technical patterns and guidelines, and promote consistency across technology teams and projects.

4. Product, ERP & Enterprise Application Architecture

  • Provide architectural direction across Product Engineering and ERP platforms.
  • Ensure product and ERP architectures are scalable, maintainable, secure and commercially sustainable.
  • Define architectural principles for SaaS, multi-tenant applications, ERP extensions and enterprise applications.
  • Guide decisions relating to standard functionality versus customization versus external solutions.
  • Define enterprise integration standards across ERP, CRM, HRMS, Finance and third-party systems.
  • Review major product and ERP architecture decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for modernization through cloud, APIs, automation and AI.

5. Cloud & Modernization Strategy

  • Define enterprise cloud architecture principles and standards for Azure/AWS.
  • Guide cloud adoption, migration, and modernization initiatives.
  • Evaluate opportunities for:
    • Microservices
    • APIs
    • Event-driven architecture
    • Containers
    • Serverless
    • CI/CD
    • Distributed systems
  • Ensure cloud architectures consider scalability, availability, security, performance, and cost optimization.
  • Establish appropriate modernization strategies for legacy applications and platforms.

6. Technology Transformation

  • Identify opportunities for digital and technology transformation across the organization.
  • Assess legacy systems and recommend modernization strategies.
  • Develop transformation roadmaps based on business priorities and technology maturity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity, automation, DevOps, and operational efficiency.
  • Support management in evaluating build, buy, partner, and platform decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate, standardize, or rationalize technology platforms.

7. AI, GenAI & Emerging Technologies

  • Define the organization's approach towards practical adoption of AI and GenAI.
  • Identify high-value AI opportunities across products, ERP, services and internal processes.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies based on business value, feasibility, security, and ROI.
  • Guide AI/GenAI architecture involving:
    • LLMs
    • RAG
    • AI APIs
    • Agents
    • Vector databases
    • AI-assisted development
  • Support architecture and technology teams in evaluating AI POCs and transitioning successful initiatives into scalable solutions.
  • Distinguish practical technology opportunities from technology hype.

8. Technology Governance, Security & Risk

  • Establish enterprise-level technology governance mechanisms.
  • Ensure architecture decisions consider security, compliance, performance, scalability, and operational risk.
  • Work with relevant teams on:
    • IAM
    • Application security
    • Cloud security
    • VAPT
    • Data protection
    • Disaster recovery
    • Business continuity
  • Identify technology risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure appropriate architecture and security considerations are incorporated into major technology initiatives.

9. Business & Technology Alignment

  • Work closely with Management to understand business strategy and translate it into technology priorities.
  • Bridge the gap between business objectives and technology execution.
  • Evaluate technology decisions from both business and technical perspectives.
  • Ensure technology investments contribute to business growth, operational efficiency, and customer value.
  • Support management in assessing technology feasibility, risks, costs, and expected business outcomes.

10. Customer & Strategic Technical Consulting

Customer-facing solutioning and technical pre-sales will be an important supporting responsibility, but the primary focus of the role remains enterprise technology architecture and strategy.

  • Support strategic customer discussions involving complex technology requirements.
  • Participate in architecture workshops and high-value solution discussions where enterprise-level expertise is required.
  • Provide architectural guidance for complex customer engagements.
  • Support Sales and Business Development with strategic technical inputs when required.
  • Review high-value proposals and solution approaches from an architectural perspective.
  • Act as a senior technical advisor for complex customer requirements and escalations.

11. Technology Capability & Engineering Leadership

  • Provide architectural guidance to Architects, Technical Leads and Engineering teams.
  • Define the technology capabilities and competencies required for future business growth.
  • Identify gaps in technology skills, tools and platforms.
  • Promote architectural thinking and technology knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Establish mechanisms for technical knowledge sharing, architecture reviews and communities of practice.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex architectural and technology decisions.

12. Architecture Review & Solution Alignment

  • Review major solution architectures across Product, ERP and Services.
  • Ensure project-level solutions comply with enterprise architecture principles.
  • Provide guidance on significant technical decisions without becoming the day-to-day project architect.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are aligned with:
    • Enterprise standards
    • Technology roadmap
    • Security requirements
    • Scalability requirements
    • Business objectives
    • Commercial considerations

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12–20 years of experience in software engineering, architecture, technology consulting, or related technology leadership roles.
  • Strong experience in Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and system integration.
  • Strong depth in at least one technology ecosystem, preferably Microsoft/.NET.
  • Broad exposure to multiple technology platforms and architectural approaches.
  • Strong understanding of Azure/AWS and cloud architecture.
  • Experience with modern application architecture, distributed systems and APIs.
  • Strong understanding of ERP, SaaS and enterprise application environments.
  • Experience in technology strategy, architecture governance and technology roadmap development.
  • Experience in technology modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Exposure to AI/GenAI and emerging technologies.
  • Strong understanding of technology risks, security and architectural trade-offs.
  • Experience interacting with senior management, customers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technology strategy and architecture, and to make pragmatic decisions balancing business value, technical excellence, delivery feasibility and cost.
